Direct-to-Substrate Printing
In the past digital prints on non-standard materials have actually been printed on paper or plastic and then laminated onto the unusual surface. This resulted in a dull, flat look. With our new advanced printing technology, we are now able to print directly onto the final substrate. This has a number of advantages, including amazing detail and image sharpness across a wide range of colors. Printing directly onto clear acrylic, brushed aluminum, rich-grained birch or exotic bamboo adds shadow and depth to prints, because our distinctive imagery actually interacts with the surface on which it is printed.
Our grand-format printer utilizes the most advanced print head technology available, generating true 1200 dpi. This high performance piezoelectric jetting technology produces consistent ink output, which is ideal for fine art reproduction. We use UV-curable, pigmented inks that are 100% solvent-free with no volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions. These inks are not only a more environmentally friendly alternative to other print technologies, but they create prints with a vibrant full color gamut, superior light fastness, abrasion resistance, durability, and excellent adhesion.
